What is CMA?

Child Management Associates (CMA) is a non-profit sponsor of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). CMA works to ensure that healthy, well-balanced and nourishing meals are served to children in daycare away from home. CMA offers reimbursement for meals served and other resources to eligible home daycares and centers.

How Does it Work?

Monthly reimbursements to participating daycare homes assist caregivers in providing more nutritious, healthful meals. Participating homes and centers may be reimbursed for up to two meals and one snack per child per day. All meals served must meet certain nutritional requirements to promote the health and well- being of children. The amount homes receive is based on a two-tier reimbursement scale. Whether you qualify for Tier 1 or Tier 2 rates is based on a variety of factors such as your school boundaries, your personal income, or the income of the families you serve.

The amount a center receives is based on free/reduced paid income level of parents.

Mission Statement

"Child Management Associates ensures complete, nutritious, and wholesome meals and environments for Utah children in daycare settings through education, training, and food-reimbursement for home daycare providers in an effort to create healthy lifestyles for today's children and for future generations."

What Do We Do?

In addition to food reimbursement, CMA mails out a monthly newsletter with new and exciting recipes, activity ideas, and more! CMA also provides annual trainings with valuable information such as how to develop healthy eating habits, and the best way to use coupons to save you money!
